Neighbors for Racial Justice 11/16
For several years and on every Saturday between Noon and 1 pm, N4RJ a group in Oakland, CA, gather at the corner of MacArthur Blvd. and Fruitvale Ave. in support of the Black Lives Matter movement.
http://www.neighborsforracialjustice.org/ are a group of Dimond neighbors who meet to address ways for their community to avoid racial profiling in their crime prevention efforts. They meet to discuss, educate and challenge themselves and each other about the unconscious bias and assumptions about race, combined with fear of crime, which is making their neighborhood feel intolerable to the people of color who live, work and visit there.
